A new member for Team Thomas!

Welcome to the team Luca Murray Thomas. He was born on May 7th 2010 at 6.12am after a very quick labour weighing 7lbs 9oz. Mia is a very proud big sister and loves kissing and cuddling him.
Here's a couple of photos of us all to whet your appetite. I'll try and put some more on soon.

Mia's 2nd birthday

Mia's a big girl now (as she keeps telling me!). Unfortunately she was sick in the night before her birthday and on the day she was a bit under the weather. But she battled on through and had lots of fun opening her presents. In the afternoon we watched the dvds that Grandpa has made of Mia, she loved watching herself as a baby.
Thank you to everyone for all her brilliant presents.

A visit from Granny and Grandpa

Mia's easter egg that was filled with some snacks and some new little dinosaurs, but none of them have taken over from Iggy!

Granny and Grandpa visited over easter, but I didn't take many photos, too busy relaxing and making the most of them being here.

Watering

Mia is in training to help Del water the garden this summer!

Summer is on its way

It was nice and warm today so we took a stroll down to the beach. I can feel that summer is on its way which is so nice.
We went to the natural history museum as Mia wanted to see Iggy the Iguanondon Dinosaur. We bought her a mini version which she really enjoyed playing with for the rest of the day.

We then went into the arcades and Mia checked out some of the rides

Then we had a stroll along the seafront and in the park. I'm looking forward to doing lots more of this in the summer, but with a baby and having to stop all the time to feed etc!

Playing in the rain

We've been out to the park a couple of times in the rain recently. The first time was with Erica, Mia and Erica had a fabulous time playing in the puddles.

The second time daddy came with us. Mia enjoyed throwing sticks into puddles, but kept asking where Erica was!

Stylish girl!

I haven't taken all that many photos of Mia recently (naughty mummy) but here are some photos of her showing off a few of her different styles!

A group shot

Here's a sweet photo of Mia and her friends Ewan and Olivia.

cooking

We go to a cooking group on a friday morning. It's lots of fun and we've made some tasty things so far including pizza, shortbread, spring rolls, mini quiche and fruit crumble. Mia really enjoys it and I like the fact that we're making the mess somewhere other than at home! She seems to enjoy the cooking more than actually eating most of the things that we have made! I keep forgetting to take my camera with me but here are some photos that Sadie has taken.

As you can see I find it hard to let Mia get on with the cooking on her own and have to get involved!

Baking with daddy

Today Mia made some rice crispie cakes with Del. She was very good at spooning the mixture into the cases but she especially liked licking the mixture off the spoon! Afterwards we had an indoor picnic (as it was raining) and had the cakes for pudding, Mia didn't seem all that keen on them but I didn't mind as it meant I got extra!

snow!

Del took more photos of the show than me but here are some photos of Mia and Del with the snowman that he built for her while we watched. I'm quite pleased that the snow and ice has gone now as we were totally running out of things to do in the house to keep Mia occupied.

some slightly late christmas photos

We had a very fun christmas, my folks came for a week (braving the snow) and we went to Mia's grandma and grandads for boxing day. Mia got into the swing of swings and learnt how to say 'presents' and 'come on'.

Playing under the table with Grandpa, she liked telling him to 'EAT' and pretend to eat food!
